It's rare to have artists approach you to capture underwater footage of them for their music videos, but with Notep I suppose I should have seen it coming. We've worked together on many projects in the past, including Songs for Living / Songs for Dying.

   As Notep is a skilled freediver she came to me with the idea of adding some dark, grungy underwater shots to her already creative set of images for her newest release 'Spiral Energy'.

   Capturing underwater video when freediving adds a lot of challenges to the shoot. You are forced to exert more movement, meaning steady video is harder to capture. On breathhold there's of course also a time limit, and you need to work together really well with the talent to make sure you get the shots you need.

   Notep keeps bringing me inspiring projects to shoot and I love that she continues to put her trust in me.
