FINDING NUDI - Underwater Documentary (2023)
Director - Editor - Underwater Cameraman
The ocean is home to lot's of big animals like sharks, rays, whales and squid. But on the ocean floor, the marine life looks quite different. With a limited eco system size becomes your enemy, and smaller animals thrive in places such as muck habitats.
Captured primarily due to a combination of covid and boredom (JK) I spent over 150 dives over the course of two years to caprure rare and exotic animals such as Blue Ringed Octopus, Pygmy Squid, Tiger Shrimps and a whole lot of Nudibranchs.
The challenges I encountered in this project were primarily during filming. The muck habitat is both very fragile and prone to being stirred up if disturbed, requiring expert dive skills and situational awareness. And that's before you even get to search for perfectly camouflaged target animals in an endless field of sand, but this of course is the most fun part of the challenge.
This is the most comprehensive documentary covering underwater macro life ever captured in Thailand to date!
