CORAL CITY - A SHORT DOCUMENTARY

   A young Sri-Lankan scientist and mother goes on an expedition in the waters around Sri Lanka in order to collect crucial information to protect the coral reefs from dying. In this short documentary we get to witness a different part of the world, where marine conservation is needed but often underfunded.

   I provided the production with stock footage of coral spawning, one of the rarest events to witness in nature. Corals spawn at night and only for a few nights a year, meaning a lot of time and planning goes into successfully capturing it. However I've had more unsuccessful nights that successful ones, that's just part of the game.
